WE ARE HARDLY ANYTHING AT ALL
WITHOUT THE EGO

Support Your Ego
How many times have we heard how bad ego is? If the ego didn’t rule, the world would be so much better. No wars, no greed for money, just good decisions that serve all of us in a good way.

The ego is described by Dr Deepak Chopra as your social mask, the role you play. The ego is not who you really are. The ego is supposed to be fed by the fear not to do well and aims for strengthening control and power.

MAN STRIVES TO PROTECT ITS EGO

A more modern interpretation of the ego, described in LifeSpider System™, says that man strives to protect its ego. The fear comes when we feel that the ego is threatened. The ego cannot stand threats since it is week in itself. The ego is easily going away when there is no control. But in itself it’s not evil. In fact we are hardly anything at all without the ego.

If we try to tell ourselves that ego is evil we will build frustrations and stress. In LifeSpider System we talk about a manifested avoid-attitude. People who in their lives limit themselves and their ego to avoid to be punished, also tend to limit others.

Development is about creating what is new, in terms of new patterns, new behaviors, new ways of thinking and new attitudes. Development is promoted by a manifested achieve-attitude – the opposite of avoid-attitude. The achieve-attitude is allowing and forward-looking. You aim for winning advantages and making progress in what you do. Openness and dynamics characterizes the achieve-attitude.

YOUR EGO IS THE KEY TO YOUR INNER POWER.

The ego is like an engine to achieve, develop and make progress. The ego is the key to your inner power. The ego defines your driving forces. The ego makes you going.

The best friend of the ego is meaningfulness. When you do something that gives you energy and at the same time you feel that it has a purpose, you have added a dimension of ethics in what you do. You come closer to behave in line with your soul’s longing, which is greater than the free impulse of the ego.

Of great importance – according to LifeSpider System – is the partnership between ego and soul. When there is such a partnership, the driving forces or, in other words, the ego, is controlled by its intentions – the soul.

THE EGO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

Instead of killing the ego and feeling bad, you have a choice to build such a partnership to support the ego in a good way. The ego is your best friend, not your worst enemy. Friendship needs to be maintained and cherished to grow. To grow we have to make room for the ego, otherwise we will be stunted.

The ego should be controlled by adding purpose to its actions to reach full quality in life.
